self image

Many people in our society believe that how other people see them determines who they are. Their view of what other people think of them becomes their “self image.” Self image is the mental picture of how one believes they appear to others. The way that one presents oneself, through choice of clothes and attitude impacts the way that others think of them. In turn the way that one feels about his or her appearance can be positive or negative on how they look. This issue has a major effect on self-confidence. Self-confidence has a lot o do with how one feels about them self. If one has a shinning self-confidence then of course one will like the way they look and not really care about how others think of them. Now if one has a not so bright self-confidence then of course they are not going to feel good about them self.

Hear I am just going to say it. Do not care about what others think of you! You are who you are! If someone does not like how you are then fine…they we’re a good friend anyways…right??

this is a major problem among teens. I've heard so many people say that you should not care about what others are saying about you, but it's just really hard to do that. This blog is really interesting and I'm really looking forward to your next entries!!

Self-image is a huge problem for teens. We need to fix that! It's a problem that someone has no self-confidence. That needs to be fixed.

the media is mean for doing this sometimes they probably don't intend it but most of the time they do. Plus, they don't stop even when their are so many cases were the person is nearly dying or looks like it just to look "beautiful". ~ a.c

Don't you think self image is also important? Realizing what other people think of you is a key part of functioning in any sort of social situation. Without the ability to recognize how other people view us, we would never be able to change those habits that others may find offensive, or in some cases, continue them just out of spite.
