Today in teen magazines you see so many stories on who wore the dress better. Do you think that these voting’s are giving teens of today an image of what they should dress like? I think it is! It is having girls and even boys condition into thinking that there is only one way of dressing.

Today so many teens read magazines and they read all about the new cool things coming out, all the latest fashion trends, what’s cute, and what’s not. But all of this is coming from one persons perspective, or a group of peoples ideas, it is not what you think, or what another might think. And yet so many girls and boys believe that this is the only way of being cool. They automatically believe if you follow the trends and put your hair the way that Ashley Olsen does ,then you’re "beautiful", and if you dress and act like Zac Efron then you “cool”, but is that true? Of course not, But it’s so hard for teens not to believe those things, especially when they see it everyday of their lives. But why do you think the media keeps doing this? Do they really want to fill all of our heads with nonsense and crap that we don not need. I read magazines all the time, their fun, you read about you favorite stars, (and they keep you busy when you are at an airport for 6 hours!) but I never really read them and believe everything I read. Just because I see some famous star that is really thin, I do not automatically believe that they are “beautiful”, and neither do I believe that a guy, who is buff, is “hot”! I have my own Ideas of what’s beautiful, and what’s hot, its going to be different on what another thinks, I guess what I’m trying to say is that many people believe and have different ideas on things, which they should since all of our thoughts are individualized and that not everyone can or should feel and seek out the same beliefs and thoughts as everyone else. BE YOURSELF!
